Sympathy Card

Good Morning! Well, more shovelling yesterday and a bit to do today, I'm sure the snow will soon be finished...? :)

Today I have a sympathy card to share. This is a card I should really make more of to have in my stash as its always hard to make one when you need it most.

This card uses the Razzleberry Lemonade dsp, along with Basic Grey ribbon and cardstock, the Scalloped Circle big die, pearls from my stash and the stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral. The sentiment is from an old hostess set, Warm Wishes (I think).  I used the reinker technique to colour in the rose, after it had been embossed on white on watercolour paper.

Another Sympathy Card for the stash

Hi there! I've got one more Sympathy card for my stash. This one uses the Parisienne Summer dsp, along with Upsy Daisy as the main image. I really love using the Martha Stewart border punch, its really feminine and so pretty. Accessories include Grey Taffeta, Pink Pirouette Grosgrain ribbon, and a brad from stash.

I put this photo through the rigours of my Adobe Photoshop, which, I'm sure you can tell by the photo, isn't something I'm really a pro at yet! lol :-) In this picture, my Basic Grey is leaning more towards black, wouldn't you say? And, I think I saved it already and can't get the original back!! Soooo, just imagine it a little more grey than charcoal/black!! :-)

I have not been impressed with my camera lately, I don't know why its not taking really good, crisp pictures. Hmmm, I did lend it to my son to take to Cuba, I wonder if he accidentally dropped it or something?? *sigh* I don't even want to think about that....!! :-)

Sympathy for the card stash

Hi there! first, I have to apologize for the crooked picture!! This is the best image of all the ones I took, and unfortunately, its a little off. Oh well..... :-)

I need a few Sympathy cards for my stash so I thought I'd use some of my Parisienne Summer dsp. for this card, along with Upsy Daisy, a stamp set I don't use often enough. This card uses Vanilla Cardstock, Bravo Burgundy, Parisienne Breeze dsp, and Basic Grey for the stamped image. I sponged the image lightly with Pink Pirouette. The accessories used are: Martha border punch, stash brads & Burgundy grosgrain ribbon. I also pulled out my two way glue stick and my PearlEx powder, adding subtle shine and texture to the daisies. I don't think you can see it in the picture, but it looks really nice. I'm not sure if this is a way you are supposed to use the PearlEx powder, but it worked for me, so I guess that's good!! I always forget I own this stuff and thought I'd give it a try. :-)

Parisienne Thoughts

Hi there Blogger Friends! Well, it looks like it should be another lovely Spring day out there today!! Hope you are making the best of this weather we've been fortunate enough to have blow in our way.

I created this card using the Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper and the old standby, Bloomin' Beautiful. Oh Please SU!, don't ever retire this set, its perfect for just about any occasion.

I just couldn't bring myself to cover up any more of the beautiful designer paper than I had to, so my creation isn't quite following the sketch posted. :-) I also didn't want to add a whole bunch of embellies to the front of this card, I really liked it as is. I may add two more brads on the bottom of the brown designer cardstock to match the ones on the top, but that would be about it.
