Sweet Journal

Good Morning! This is a cute little journal that I made for my DD. She is really into journals and must have about 5 or 6 of them, using them for different things such a sports stats, a daily log of her exercise regime, famous inspiring quotes and just everyday thoughts.

Her favourite colour as a little girl was Purple so I made this journal with Orchid Opulence, White Shimmer and a very very retired designer paper, I can't even remember the name and would have to find an old catty to locate it! If I get a chance, I'll do that later!!

The embellishments on this journal are Organdy ribbon, a small silver key (which kind of fell behind the ribbon when I took the shot) a piece of Hodgepodge hardware for the sentiment, markers to colour in my image and then lumiere, mixed with reinkers to give it shine and opulence. Gotta have some kind of bling or shinny stuff on each creation, right?? :-)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is as warm and sunny as ours is!! Thankfully we are having a great weekend, something we haven't seen too much of in Alberta this year. Long Live Summer!!!!!! :-)

Travel Journal

Hi there Blogger Friends!! I created this travel journal for my Daughter's Friend/Coach who is going to Europe this week. I had made one previously for her, but after looking at it, decided it just wasn't right. Although it was cute, it didn't say "travel". I happened upon this paper last week at a LSS, while waiting for my Daughter to finish her Orthodontic appointment. Now who thought of that, hey? A scrapbook store beside an orthodontist!! Greeeaaat thinking!! I don't think I've ever waited for the poor girl in the ortho office while she's been in for an appointment!!
I've left the front of the journal fairly free of embellishments. I want DD's friend to be able to actually use this journal and not have to worry about embellishments being bulky while journaling, or even falling off during travel. I have some pretty heavy duty glue dots, but I just didn't want to take the chance. I sure hope she likes it, it was fun to make!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!

Spring Friendship Journal

Hi there Blogger Friends! I've got the cutest Journal to show you today. I made this for a friend of my Daughters. She will be going to Europe soon and I'm sure she'll need a journal to record all her amazing, wonderful activities in. She will be going for 4 months I believe. Lucky girl!!
I picked this journal up at Michael's quite some time ago. I love the crisp apple green colour and thought it paired up beautifully with the Tart & Tangy Stamp set. The images were inked in markers and stamped on whisper white, then punched out and adhered to a scalloped punched circle. I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds, stamped with white craft on the Black cardstock. The ribbons are from the Striped Grosgrain selection, Pumpkin Pie & Real Red, and the black is an unknown source I found in my stash of old ribbons. The sentiments are rub ons from last years SU! Sale-a-Bration.
That's all for now, hope you are having a great day!!
