For My Friend
Good Morning! Today I'm posting a card I created for a good friend of mine. I really liked the colours together.
We had a great time at dog obedience yesterday, Sophie did better than I expected although she really doesn't buy into the "sit stay" quite yet!! She's an exhuberant little gal and sitting still isn't really part of her nature!! Something we will be working on as "homework" this week :-)
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Elegant Cheer
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey, Vanilla, Pariesienne Summer
Accessories: Nesties, Swiss dot embossing folder, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, soft fabric ribbon from my stash, half back pearls, oval punch
Thanks for dropping by!

Best Wishes & More!
Good Morning! Today's card share uses the SU! stamp set Best Wishes & More. We received this set in our packages at the SU! Regionals held in Edmonton last winter. I found inspiration for this card here, what a lovely set she has created!!
Here are the details:
The stamp set, as mentioned, is Best Wishes & More. Cardstock used was So Saffron, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Designer Paper Tea Party, Silver Brads, Nesties for circles & Eyelet Border Punch.
We have a busy day planned today, I think we may go "downtown" and have lunch at the Hotel McDonald! Hopefully we see some sunshine before noon, its always nice to look out and see the river valley while dining. Our oldest son (24) and my daughter(16) will be joining me, I can't wait!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there! This card is for the sketch challenge on SCS found here
I love these challenges and was happy to be able to work on one today. I've been prepping for our Holiday Card Making Class this weekend. I can hardly wait, its always fun to get together with the girls to stamp!! :-)
This card features the little Penny Black mouse in his flying balloon basket, sending out a wealth of flowers to someone who needs them. :-) I've used a white card for the base along with Almost Amethyst, Basic Black, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink cardstock. The Designer paper is Tea Party. The image was cut out & matted with Nesties, and the sentiment is from an old old SU! set Mini Mates, I sure love all the words in this set, they are really versatile and work perfectly in punched out circles. The embellies are brads & ribbon from my stash.
I can't believe we are almost at the middle of August!! I am so excited, DD and I are going to pick raspberries and peas tomorrow at the local garden market!! There might even be some cucumbers ready, anyone got a fantastic garlic/dill pickle recipe they'd like to share? I always like to try something new. I think I'll do some pickled carrots as well. mmmmm!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your day :-)

Asian Artistry meets Noveau Chic
Hi there! Today's card share uses the Hostess Level II set Asian Artistry. I really love this stamp set and just haven't had much time to use it. I also am completely smitten with this Nouveau Chic designer paper!! I recently made another Flip Flap Album with this series of dsp and it was so easy to work with.
This card has a base of Very Vanilla, and mats of Sage Shadow & Basic Grey. A piece of Nouveau Chic is used for the main background. I used nesties to cut out my image, which was stamped onto Very Vanilla c/stock & coloured with Sage Shadow & Basic Grey. As well the dragon fly was stamped on VV and punched out with a circle punch, then matted onto a circle punched from Sage Shadow. I was really happy with this card, and of course wanted to add brads or ribbon, but found it just didn't need any more embellishments other than the paper piercing around the edges.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope the rest of your day is wonderful!!

Pink Fun & Fast Notes!
Hi there! Today I have a card that I made for a baby shower I attended yesterday. I had 2 baby showers this weekend, both for girls. :-) This card uses the Fun & Fast Notes Stamp set, along with the Sweet Always Dsp, the SU! eyelet border punch and silver SU! brads. I also coloured in the little buggy with Pretty in Pink marker, adding the dots with Pumpkin Pie marker. I then filled in the area with Crystal Effects, which always adds dimension to your work. I matted the image on several ovals cut from my Nestabilities on the Big Shot. To finish if off I tied two White Taffeta bows on either side of the baby carriage. I really liked the addition of the Pumpkin Pie oval on the card, something different from the usual!! I also thought that Chocolate Chip would have been nice too as a matt. You just can't go wrong with the SU! packages of designer papers, everything seems to coordinate so well and take the guess work out of choosing the right match of colours!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day and find some time for stamping!! I'm super busy today with taking DD to her summer course, then her golfing lessons, then I have friends dropping by for the afternoon.....hmmm, guess I had better get busy and clean up that messy stamp studio!! :-)

Birthday Greeting ~ Enjoy :-)
I used the Cupcake from the now retired Wagon Full of Fun (Occasions mini) and the wonderful DSP Pink Flamingo. The ribbon is from my stash and the "Enjoy" circle is from the retired Lovely Labels. I still have to go through my stamp sets and separate the In from the Out (retired sets from current sets! lol) but I think I'm my own best customer first and foremost and have a really hard time just hiding my stamp sets away because they aren't current. So forgive me for using retired sets here and there, I really enjoy stamping for the joy of stamping, its fun to create with whatever we happen to love.
Now, that's not to say that I don't have a huge Wish List for the current SU! catty, because heavens knows I do, its as long as my arm!! But, thankfully we now have a whole year to collect our favourites from the new catty, and I certainly look forward to larger minis as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! I'm off to another Baby Shower, I'll be sure to photo the card I'm taking and post it soon. It turned out really cute!

Lucky Ducky for a Baby Boy!
Hi there! Today's post uses the Wagon Full of Fun set from the Occassions Mini. I bought this set with full intentions of using this adorable duck for Baby Cards! This card is for my Son's best friend & his Wife who just had their first little one a few weeks ago. I got the cutest little outfit for baby boy Jordan ~ wow! was it ever fun to shop for baby clothes again. I also have two showers coming up this weekend, both for Baby Girls, so I had the best time buying both blue & pink baby items!! I do really miss those days, babies were so much fun. :-) Now, Toddler years, well I can't say I miss that quite as much! Both our boys were pretty busy little fellows when they were young. Thanks for stopping by and I'll have a Baby Girl card to post tomorrow!

Sugar & Spice Sweetie!
Hi there! Today I have a card to share using the long gone retired set "And Everything Nice", still one of my very favourites!! This little girl reminds me of a picture I have of my Mom when she was about 6 years old, same cutie face and hair style! Mom is no longer with us, so I take great enjoyment in making cards with the images from this set, they are so sweet and have a meaning to me.
I apologize for the lousy background on this picture, but I tried and tried to take a pic of this card everywhere and anywhere and this one turned out the best, so I guess it make the posting!! :-)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day, I'm certainly happy its Summer out there now!
