SCS Challenge! Sketch Challenge 224

Hi again Blogger Friends: I forgot to mention in my last post that both these cards are for the SCS Sketch challenge #224, found here at : http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=SC224&what=keywords. I've used another image from the Wagon Full of Fun, what a great cupcake this one is!! I love the size of it, its perfect for shading and highlighting, and adding that bit of dazzling diamonds.
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care,
Debbie

Lucky Ducky!!

Hi there Blogger Friends!! I received a couple of SU! shipments while I was away! Whoo hoo! Nothing more exciting than new "stuff"! I was able to unpack the boxes today and try out some of the new designer papers. This is the Sweet Slumber Specialty paper, which is a little heavier weight than our regular designer paper, and its textured. Oh my! is it ever nice. :-) I've also used this Ducky image from Wagon Full of Fun, one of the new stamp sets in the SU! Occasions Mini, which started April 1st.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!~

Debbie

Autumn Cards Already?

This is a cute layout posted on SCS the other day. Its one of the SCS Challenges, I'll add more details later. I've still be having alot of issues with the computer, I think our connection is in dire need of repair, wow! is it slow. Plus my emails are pouring in 500 at a time, and they are all repeats from the last year. So if I am not around for a few more days, that's why!!

See you

Watercolour Challenge SCS

Hi again. Here is another watercolour card I did last night for the watercolour challenge and "white space" challenge on SCS. I love the white space challenge, as it encourages you to let the design speak for itself and not add embellishments everywhere. Sometimes its nice to have a clean lined card, they are very modern looking. There is also an old thread on SCS encouraging Christmas cards using alot of "white space". There are alot of beautiful samples on there, and considering some of us make up to 40 or 50 cards to send at Christmas, that style might just work for you. I'll try to post a link for it on the side once I get this blog more together!
This card is small, but was quite time consuming, which surprised me. Mind you, I kind of putter around when I watercolour, and dab this, and dab that, and shade here and there. I can never leave well enough alone it seems. Simple cards are the way to go, but somehow I have to get my hands in there and make them not as simple! My group members have told me that they like that style because it shows them where can can go with a card if they want to. Thank goodness!! They are such a wonderful group of ladies, and they are all my friends. Lucky me. :-)
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Magenta & Warm Words
Cardstock: Watercolour paper
Ink: Black StazOn, Rose Red, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Real Red, Green Galore, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Twinkling H20's
Have a great day, I'm off to clean the house and get some grocery shopping done. How mundane, I'd much rather be stamping or doing challenges with Beth!! :-)

I'll leave you with this picture for now, as I have a busy day ahead! I did this for a SCS challenge, and really enjoyed colouring it. The card itself is 6 x 6 and I still had to crimp the design to get it to fit!! I love to watercolour, and might have to do some more to steady my nerves today. I just feel so awful about deleting my previous blog! Ah!! Perhaps its someone's way of telling me I spend waaay too much time on the computer? Nah.....!

Thanks for looking everyone have a great day. I'm off for a strong coffee!
