Doggie Treats and MDS

Hi there! Today I have a cute little treat bag to share with you! I made these little doggie bones as a Christmas treat for the pups in our lives and wanted a cute way to package them. My Digital Studio to the rescue!! I printed out the Scottie dog along with the sentiment, cut it out and matted it on black. I then cut out the Top Note die, folded in half and adhered all together. Filled the cello bags, folded over the top, secured with a staple at the back. I then added the Top Note Die and secured those edges with a staple as well. A brad also works nicely on each side, but be sure that the cello bag you are using meets the edges or the brad won't catch it all in there.

Thanks for dropping by, hope you have a great day!!

Christmas Present!

Hi there! Today's share is a gorgeous portfolio that my Upline Karen gave me for Christmas! Isn't it fantastic!!! Thanks (again) Karen!
To create this beautiful portfolio, Karen used the Thoroughly Modern File Folders. These File Folders are gorgeous! Not only are they available using the gorgeous DSP design but they are really nice, heavy quality as well. The Book Marks are created with our Big Shot and Flower cut from the Thoroughly Modern Designer Paper. The Pen has a roll of coordinating DSP in the center to tie in with the rest of the design. The notebook is held together with a piece of velcro and a corduroy button was placed on the front. Isn't this a great gift??? :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Quick Birthday Bag

Hi there! I went to my Dear Friend's Birthday party last night and needed a gift bag in a hurry! I had this gorgeous Kiwi Kiss coloured bag in my collection and was amazed at how it coordinated with the Raspberry Tart designer paper! I added a strip of Raspberry Tart dsp, a large flower, placed a Regal Rose daisy in the middle (from the Big Shot su! die "Daisy") and finished it off with a large silver brad from SU!. The circle behind the flower is Kiwi Kiss, cut out with my nestabilities. This bag coordinates with the card made in the previous post.

Upsy Daisy Card Box

Hi there Blogger Friends! I've got a cute little Card Box to share with you today. A group of us made this project one morning and I was quite surprised at how quickly it all came together. We've used Whisper White Cardstock for the base, Urban Garden for the Designer Paper accents, and the gorgeous Kiwi Kiss Grosgrain ribbon. The stamp set we used is Upsy Daisy, such a versatile set for Thank you's or Birthday's!
I've posted two of the four cards that will be tucked inside of this Card Box. This makes a super nice gift for someone sweet!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Travel Journal

Hi there Blogger Friends!! I created this travel journal for my Daughter's Friend/Coach who is going to Europe this week. I had made one previously for her, but after looking at it, decided it just wasn't right. Although it was cute, it didn't say "travel". I happened upon this paper last week at a LSS, while waiting for my Daughter to finish her Orthodontic appointment. Now who thought of that, hey? A scrapbook store beside an orthodontist!! Greeeaaat thinking!! I don't think I've ever waited for the poor girl in the ortho office while she's been in for an appointment!!
I've left the front of the journal fairly free of embellishments. I want DD's friend to be able to actually use this journal and not have to worry about embellishments being bulky while journaling, or even falling off during travel. I have some pretty heavy duty glue dots, but I just didn't want to take the chance. I sure hope she likes it, it was fun to make!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!

Spring Friendship Journal

Hi there Blogger Friends! I've got the cutest Journal to show you today. I made this for a friend of my Daughters. She will be going to Europe soon and I'm sure she'll need a journal to record all her amazing, wonderful activities in. She will be going for 4 months I believe. Lucky girl!!
I picked this journal up at Michael's quite some time ago. I love the crisp apple green colour and thought it paired up beautifully with the Tart & Tangy Stamp set. The images were inked in markers and stamped on whisper white, then punched out and adhered to a scalloped punched circle. I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds, stamped with white craft on the Black cardstock. The ribbons are from the Striped Grosgrain selection, Pumpkin Pie & Real Red, and the black is an unknown source I found in my stash of old ribbons. The sentiments are rub ons from last years SU! Sale-a-Bration.
That's all for now, hope you are having a great day!!

Christmas Goodies!

Hi there! Here's a very quick & easy gift I jazzed up this morning with a little bit of brown satin ribbon and a tag. (I know, I know, the ribbon looks like rabbit ears in this picture!) Adorning the tag is a Felt Flurry snowflake. For those who haven't ordered these, they are a MUST HAVE!! I've been enjoying them so much, they add that special touch to gifts, labels, cards, you name it. The large ones will be fantastic for those winter/Christmas scrapbook pages, and they match the Ski Slope Designer paper perfectly. Am I sold on them -- yes, did you guess? !!!! I will later wrap this tin of oh-so-good cookies in cellophane and tie with another small bit of brown satin ribbon, attaching the recipients card to this as well. I sure hope they like it!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Close up of Rimmer Tin

Hi Blogger Friends! I've been asked to show a close up of my rimmer tin, part of the last gift basket posted. I went a little crazy using the Nestabilities, but the designer paper and all the circles just looked so cute, all nesting together on the tin.
I'm off to the city for a birthday lunch with a friend, so have a great day and thank so much for stopping by!

Christmas Basket Number Three

Hi there Blogger Friends! Here is another gift basket I've been working on. I really love this designer paper, Wintergreen from last years catalogue. I still have quite a bit of it left, and yes, I'm hoarding it! Love the combo, so serene.

Yesterday my daughter and I went to the Festival of Trees and I picked up this darling little Santa oranament/door hanger to add to the basket. Isn't it cute?

The Festival of Trees was fabulous, many beautiful Christmas trees, and inspiring decorating ideas for the home. As well, there were some yummy gingergbread houses on display. We had a wonderful day, and really enjoyed going into the heart of the city this time of year. It always feels so festive.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a great weekend!

Second Christmas Gift Basket

Hi there! Isn't this just the cutest???? I fell in love with this little popcorn bowl, and it perfectly suited my gift basket theme!! In the basket there is a tin with a gift card for the recipient to purchase a video of their choice, two popcorn toppings from Epicure (which I covered with coordinating designer paper) and three microwave popcorn packets (again, covered with coordinating designer paper). I was really happy with this assortment and hope the recipient is happy with it too! Again, everything was nestled in tightly for transport. Also, I've purchased a cello gift bag with little snowflakes printed on it. It easily wraps around the basket. To tie, I have a little red velvet bow with a ceramic Santa pinned to the middle. If I have time before sending, I'll make another purse/bag holder and place some chocolates in there too. I mean really, one should enjoy a movie with both popcorn and chocolate, it just seems right! :-)
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie

Christmas Basket Number One

Hi again! Here is the first installment of gift baskets that I've created for family & friends. What do you think? I really enjoyed making this basket and tried to fill it with things the recipient will really enjoy. Included in there are: Tin of Candied Ginger, Tin of Tea from the Chateau Frontenac, Hot Buttered Rum Mix, Sugar Rimmer for Hot Beverages, a Purse/Bag of Indivually wrapped chocolates, and two tins of specialy cookies. I was going to make cookies, but these were fantastic looking cookies, and I love the tins they are in.
For presentation, I would normally have more raffia in there, but I want the items to actually sit lower in the basket for mailing purposes. If they are nestled in there they won't have as much opportunity to bounce around in transit. I also have a beautiful set of leather gloves to go in there, I just have to figure out how to wrap them. If you can believe it, I am actually OUT of this designer paper! I truly thought I would have it forever, as I had quite a few sheets of these colour combinations!
Hope you have a great afternoon, and be sure to check in as I'll have some more uploads in the coming days!
Take care,
Debbie

Daily Journal

Hi yet again! I've posted a picture of a daily journal created for a Christmas gift. Unfortunately the picture looks a little funny because of the plastic on the front of the journal. I'll try to replace this later.
This is a journal from the Buck or Two store. I really love these because they come with a wonderful inset of cardstock already, all you have to do is embellish it and voila! a personalized journal.
Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Purse Bag

Hi there Blogger Friends! Well, yes I did sleep last night, see post below for explanation! Thank goodness. :-)
This is part of a gift set I did up for my SIL. This is called a Purse Box, I believe. Very quick and easy, uses aproximately 1/2 a sheet of designer paper. I still have quite a bit of this designer paper left over, I sort of hoarded it from last season! Such a pretty combination, Sage, Artichoke, Soft Sky (retired) and Celery.
I'll have pictures of the entire gift basket in my next post.
Got to go for now, have a great day!

Christmas Tin

Good Morning! Its a fabulous day out there today, much better than the awful winds yesterday. We've already been for our hour walk (me and the dog!) and got some laundry and cleaning accomplished too. Now to the stamp room!!!! (that's my reward)
This is a tin filled with Candied Ginger. (yuck)! But its my MIL's very favourite, and I know she'll really enjoy it. She's getting harder and harder to buy gifts for, and I find as family members get older, they really really appreciate the little things in life. So here's a tin of her very favourite, I'm sure she'll hide it away and savour each piece.
I used last years designer paper on this tin, as well as some gold ribbon that was in my stash. I've since fixed the ribbon, that's a bit askew in this pic, and held it down with a small glue dot. Bless those glue dots! They come in handy for so many things.
Have a great day, and I'll be posting more pics of my gifts sets very soon. I'm revamping my photgraphy studio (as in, where can I get a good picture!! haha). I'll be retaking the photos from yesterday as I'm just not happy with their quality. Hopefully I'll have some good shots to show soon. Enjoy your day!

Jump Start On Christmas

Hi Blogger Friends! I've been working like mad trying to get my "away" Christmas gift baskets done up. Here is a small sampling of what I've been up to.
This basket is a Hot Buttered Rum Basket! The round tin is the Rimmer, the jar is the Hot Buttered Rum mix, and the wonderful round candle is a chocolate scented candle. And Oh, my goodness, does it smell like Chocolate!!! absolutely wonderful!! I got the goodies for this basket from my downline, Shelly, who sells Epicure. Such a great product, and the tins and jars are such pretty shapes to cover. The basket and paper shred are from Michael's, and the chocolate candle I bought in the mall from a specialty vendor. Sorry the picture had to be taken on my carpet, but its such a cruddy day outside, there's not even great outdoor light to make use of. The wind is just howling, apparently from 50 - 80 km an hour this afternoon. A great excuse to stay inside and stamp!!
Have a great day, I'll have another project posted tomorrow. :-)
