Good Friend's Birthday

Hi All! I've had the opportunity to create a birthday card for a friend, who's celebrating her special day today. This card uses the Great Friend set out of the Occasions Mini, as well as the soon to be Retired Raspberry Tart designer paper. I will be so sorry to see this particular designer paper retire, its just beautiful.
This card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch, found by clicking on the link on my side bar. Be sure to check this site out, its alot of fun to participate in their challenges and there are so many great sketches to inspire you, as well as samples!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

SASSC12 The Fresh Batch Challenge

Good Evening!! I did this card for the "Fresh Batch Challenge", here is the link if you want to check it out!: http://sasthefreshbatch.blogspot.com/2009/04/stamps-and-smiles-sketch-challenge_23.html I love any sketch challenge and enjoyed working on this. And, someday I'll even remember to get my pictures straight!! This one is just a little off. Also, this was hard to photograph because I used Lumiere and ink washes on the flower & butterflies, and its really not showing up on the photo too well. The wash makes them shiny, almost metallic. If you angle the camera just right, though, you end up with all shine & not a great picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great Saturday!!
Debbie

SCS Colour Challenge CC215

Hi Blogger Friends! I've made this card for the Splitcoast Colour Challenge #CC215. They requirements were Basic Grey, Rose Red & Pink Pirouette or Pretty in Pink. I chose to use the Raspberry Tart designer paper on this along with the Great Friend Butterfly. The sentiment is one I picked up quite some time ago, on my travels in Central Alberta. Whenever we travel I try to find a stamp store and purchase something from "away", I guess its my little keepsake. Much better than t shirts, cups or ceramic lighthouses!!

Take care and thanks for stopping to have a peak at my "stuff" :-)

StampSet: Great Friend

Accessories: Pearls, Grey Taffetta ribbon, nesties, embossing folders

Parisian Blooms!

Hi there Blogger Friends! I've got a gorgeous card to share with you today. This card is from Jen's sketch challenge,http://iheart2stamp.com/2009/04/18/sketch-for-you-to-try-17/
Also, I know its difficult to see, but I've used the Cracked Glass technique on the center image. It was hard to get a really good picture of it, most of the pics (this one included) looked like I had Saran wrapped over the image! :-)
This card is so elegant, and really super easy to do. The Designer paper and the stamped image do all the work for you, they both speak volumes!
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Beautiful

Ink: Black StazOn, Baja Blue, and the container was painted with a watercolour crayon - Close to Cocoa)

Merci!

Hi there! Today is better than yesterday, because I'm not deleting blogs!! what a day, I tell ya.

This card was created for a challenge on Jen's blog http://www.iheart2stamp.com I really like this stamp set, and although I don't think I would have come up with a layout like this myself, I think I like it! I'm one of those people that like things "even" and straight, so this is a bit out of my comfort zone. On the other hand, my daughter would just love it because she likes things at an angle.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Merci

Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, whisper white, Flowers for a Friend

Ink: Black Stazon, same as above and Saffron

Accessories: Circle & Scallop punches, 1/2 pears from Pretties kit, corner rounder punch.

Have a great day!

Debbie
