Tale of Two Scrapbooking Pages

Hi there!! Today I am sharing a scrapbook page I did of our DD and our Sophie dog.  Obviously I couldn't decide on the colour or black and white photo so I did one of both!

As well, I don't know that I'm thrilled with the butterfly, but because these pages have been created with MDS, I can just go in at a later date and make the changes I want. I don't know if I want the butterfly bigger or something else in there.....we'll see!! I think maybe a button or something like a brad on the butterfly might work.

I do love my MDS, and have been working diligently on our New York album, so I'll share a few more of those as they are completed.

Thanks for dropping by!!

Bright & Colourful.....

Hi there!! I'm back in the stamp room but instead of stamping  I've been creating with the MDS program. This program is really fun, and so easy to use. I'm a little Adobe Photoshop Elements Challenged,  and was worried that SU!'s MDS program might be a steep learning curve for me, but thank goodness it was easy as anything.
This page, I do admit, is really bright and colourful but I couldn't resist giving it a try. I CASED a page from the SU! MDS blog, the original creation was made by Kathy Hill. The background squares were all created with the new SU! colours, aren't they pretty??  I was impressed that the MDS updates for all the new In Colours and new SU! Colours were as easy as a click of a few buttons.

We've been on several trips this past few months, from Beautiful British Columbia to Absolutely Amazing New York, and I'm really anxious to get busy and make a few pages while the trips are fresh in my mind, because we all know that I just don't have the best memory!!

Thanks for dropping by, I truly miss my blogging and look forward to sharing more fun creations now that the kids are back at school and life seems to have slowed down (for a bit anyways!)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Here Kittie Kittie!

Hi there! I was checking out June's amazing blog and came across this posting here of her lovely Kitty Skeeziks! What a cutie her Senior Kitty is!! I told her I'd share a picture of our Senior Kitty, Miss Kellie Cat. She's about 17 years old now, if not a little older. She's such a pretty little thing, very tiny at about 7 pounds and will come when you call her, just like a dog! She sleeps with me under the covers when its cold and loves fresh cream every morning. Our two larger doggies actually do respect her and don't make her life miserable, although she does enjoy making them chase her down the hallway here and there. They never really catch her, although if they get close they are careful. I do think these animals know to respect each other and they know she's an old granny! She had 11 kittens when she was 6 months old, and at about a year had a broken leg that had to be pinned both on the inside & out (that's when she became an inside cat only!)

She's been my DD's companion since she was a baby; Kellie would always lay near her, keeping a watchful eye on her like Nana in Peter Pan. :-)
Thanks for taking time to drop by!

Another Scrapbooking Project

Good Morning Friends!! Here's a cute layout that's very similar to the one I posted last week. This time I used the retired SU! Designer Series Paper Spring Flowers. I had quite a bit of this paper left over and knew that someday I would become a scrapbooker, so I saved it for just this purpose. I have some sepia toned photos that will be placed in the mats, and the journalling will be in the top left corner, just under the bow. I've used the new SU! stamp set Petal Pizzaz for the flowers in this creation. The large flowers were embossed to give more stability and weight to them, they look fabulous on the page. I also added some buttons that I picked up last week during a recent shopping trip. The ribbon is SU! Very Vanilla, one of my favourites. Its almost got a soft yellow tint to it, so very warm and soft.

For some reason, I'm not getting really clear pics on my scrapbooking pages, but bear with me, I'll keep working on it until they are a little more crisp.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great morning!! :-)

Bitten by the Scrapbooking Bug!

Good Morning Blogger Friends! I wanted to share a recent scrapbooking page I created. I just love this particular layout and think the colours look great with black & white photos. This is our Pup, Sophie. I've used mostly SU! products on this page, the exception being the "Spoiled" heart, which I picked up at a LSS this past winter, and the grey ribbon. The grey satin ribbon was part of the packaging on something we purchased lately (I can't even remember what it was!) However, as I untied it, I thought how fabulous to add to my stash of ribbons. :-)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Hi Blogger Friends! A couple of friends have asked me how Sophie, our new Pup is doing. She recently went in to be spayed and is still wearing her cone!! Yup, stitches may come out next Monday, but until then she's still our little "conehead"! :-) You can see she is in dire need of grooming, but the bubbly bath will have to wait until the stitches are out!!
Have a Great Day and thanks for stopping by!

Introducing.....

Our New Pup!! Yes, we did it, we bought a new puppy! We brought her home tonight at 7pm, and she was a little nervous of Tucker, what pup wouldn`t be. He is just a little overbearing sometimes! :-)

This little lovely is 9 weeks old, and a Standard Schnauzer, same as Tucker. She is a much gentler soul though, it seems. She is absolutely adorable, and has the sweetest face. I am so in love with her already, and she`s only hours old to us!

She was crying in her little area we`ve made for her, and Tucker was laying beside it, talking and crying with her. It was really cute. As well, he let her chew any of his bones that he has laying around, I thought that was good sign. He can be a dominant type of dog, so this was good. Sharing is a good thing! :-)

We are still considering her name. She is now known as PUP, but that has to change. Poor Tucker was PUP for about 2 weeks, but I`m thinking we`re closer on her name! Some of our thoughts are:

Sophie (my personal favourite, but Rory`s not quite sold on it yet....the kids and I started calling her that when she came home, it just suited her)

Daisy (not so much now, she doesn`t really look like a Daisy)

Hilde ( I really like this one, but I`m not sure she is a Hilde)

Gabby

Abby

Rosie (no one but me likes this one)

So, as you can see, it might take a couple of days to narrow down the names, but its fun!!
Wish me luck in getting a good sleep tonight! She`s never slept in a crate before, this could be interesting!
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
