Fifth Avenue Floral Fun!

Hi there! Today I have a new technique to share with you! The best place to view this technique is Patty Bennett's blog, see side bar. When you you click on her blog, go to the top and click on Free Tutorials, Watercolour Roses.

I had alot of fun creating these flowers, although I think next time I'll try two different colours! I had limited stamping time yesterday and just went for the Summer Sun reinker when colouring in, and dabbed it here and there to get highlights and shading with the flower.

I'm happy with the results but look forward to making some roses today with a few more colours.

Thanks for stopping by!

Parisian Blooms!

Hi there Blogger Friends! I've got a gorgeous card to share with you today. This card is from Jen's sketch challenge,http://iheart2stamp.com/2009/04/18/sketch-for-you-to-try-17/
Also, I know its difficult to see, but I've used the Cracked Glass technique on the center image. It was hard to get a really good picture of it, most of the pics (this one included) looked like I had Saran wrapped over the image! :-)
This card is so elegant, and really super easy to do. The Designer paper and the stamped image do all the work for you, they both speak volumes!
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Beautiful
Cardstock: Parisian Breeze Specialty
Ink: Black StazOn, Baja Blue, and the container was painted with a watercolour crayon - Close to Cocoa)
Accessories: Blender Pen, Eyelet Border punch, Taffeta Kraft Ribbon, Blue Baja Ribbon
Thanks for checking in, have a great day!!

Heartfelt Metallic

Hi there Blogger Friends! Again, I have another card I made at my cousin Karen's house. Isn't this fantastic? I did a card similar to this a few years ago at Christmas, but haven't done this technique since. Which is too bad, because its such a beautiful finished product. We will be working on this at our next Technique night ladies!! This card uses the Heartfelt Thanks set, as well as the Tres Chic background stamp, Basic Grey & Black cardstock.
Hope you have a great evening, and thanks so much for checking out my blog!

Cracked Glass

Hi there! We worked on the Cracked Glass Technique the other day, and it was alot of fun. I really like using Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, and whether or not you decide to "crack" it is up to you. Either way looks wonderful and really adds to a card.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Lovely as a Tree & Words
Cardstock: Kraft, Kiwi, Chocolate, Vanilla & Bella Rosa (I know, AGAIN!) Told you that Bella Rosa is versatile :-)
Ink: Brown StazOn, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, White Gel Pen
