Good Morning! Today I am sharing a picture of Frankie, the Halloween Treat Box I made for my kids and their friends. Isn't he adorable???  Frankie was quick and easy to make using the Top Note Die,  1 1/4 circle and tag punches.  I used Kiwi Kiss and Elegant Eggplant for the face and hair, black and white cardstocks for the eyes and a SU! marker for his mouth and stitches. I had the raffia in my stash,  it was a perfect match for the box.

We also did this little box for our Stamping Group, the ladies loved it and went home with lots of great ideas.  Thanks for such a great evening ladies, I had so much fun!!!

Hope you didn't eat too much candy this weekend (like I did...!) and have a wonderful Monday!

Top Note Die Purse

Hi there! Today's share is a Top Note Die purse, inspired by Deb at Coastal Creations. Her darling purse (& directions) can be found here. I love the Halloween paper she used, its really colourful & fun. :-) The Christmas themed purses are beautiful as well and have a wonderful flower embellishment on the front, great inpsiration! Beth also has a great Halloween one, check out her blog (side bar BigSkyPaperandDesign)
This purse was created with some glittered Halloween paper I had in my stash from last year. (Nope, not Melody paper this time, lol) The stars designer paper on the circle is the flip side of the glittered Top Note paper. I also used Old Olive ribbon, Basic Black Cardstock, the Stars Die, the Big Shot & the 1/2 inch circle punch. I took glue and coloured the little black 1/2 inch circle punch and then covered in the purple glitter. So pretty & sparkly!!! I also used the Crop-o-dile to punch the holes for the ribbon to feed through.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you are able to find some time to create in your stamp room today! :-)

Halloween Skeleton Strikes Again!

Hi there! Today's card share is yet another Halloween card! I've had so much fun making these, I really love this Twick or Tweet Set from SU! Such great images and all are really quite sweet.
This card features the skeleton and his doggie friend. Created with Basic Black, Whisper White, Lovely Lilac and the Black & White Designer series paper from the Holiday Mini, this card also features sparkly glitter, photo corners (from the photo corner punch) and an embossed piece of Whisper White for the background. I embellished the inside with more of the colourful Lovely Lilac and stamped "Happy Halloween" on the white mat (from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Sentiment).
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed the Halloween cards I've posted! I've sure enjoyed making them to share. :-)

Halloween Fun again!

Hi there! I really enjoy Ann's Blog, The Stampin' Schach, and was very inspired by her creation found here. What a great card!! I changed mine up a bit (mine is a bit "busier" than hers, I would rather have put in the witch like Ann's card, she's just so cute! (I may have to get that stamp set!) After looking at this card photographed, I probably shouldn't have put both sentiments on there but oh well, it will have to do for now. I might try my hand at this again as I really enjoyed creating it.
My version of Ann's card features the sweet skeleton from the Twick or Tweet stamp set (Holiday '09 mini). Isn't he a cutie???? I love the little doggie chewing on the "bone"! lol When I coloured him in, I added some variation to his fur with black splotches, just to make him a little more interesting. There really isn't much to do once you've stamped this image & coloured the dog, as most skeletons remain fairly "airy" :-)
I've used Only Orange, Basic Black, W. White and a bit more of my Melody designer paper (I'll have to call it that from now on!!). We punched a circle out of a spare piece of cardstock and sponged the moon in first, stamped the skeleton and tree from Branch Out stamp set, and then stamped the Trick or Treat from the Holiday Wishes SU! hostess Level One set. We adorned the corners with the photo corner punchas well. The orange card portion was also embossed with a harlequin type embossing folder. This card measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope to have some birthday and Christmas cards to share soon!

Haunting Halloween & Twick or Tweet (again!)

Hi there! Today's card share was created with Haunting Halloween(retired) & the new Twick or Tweet stamp set from the Holiday mini. Pretty much the same details as the last few Halloween cards, only this one also uses the swiss dot embossing folder, although you can get the same results from the SU! texture plate too. I also used the SU! oval punches for the sentiment. Markers were used to colour the image to match the stripes in the designer paper (the Melody papers!) I tried to make the cauldron look old and beat up; I coloured it with Basic Grey, then went over it with Basic Black, which has a purple hue to it. It bubbled up in the center, which makes it look really cool, quite authentic! I then went in with some white reinker and dabbed it here and there for highlights. The oozy stuff coming up out of the cauldron was coloured in Summer Sun, although from the photo it looks quite ghastly and pale. In real life, it looks much brighter!! The circle punches were used for "faux brads".
This card was quick, easy and alot of fun to do. :-) The inside of the card is white with a piece of designer paper along the side, with the sentiment "a happy Halloween" (get it?? ...."witching you....a happy halloween") lol

Halloween Fun!!

Hi there! I was fortunate enough to spend the entire day stamping with my wonderful friend Melody!!!! We stamped the day away, had a break for lunch, and then continued on until *ahem* my DH arrived home for supper. haha, I'm sure he must think we are nuts!!! It was the best day, thank you so much for coming over Melody, and sharing your beautiful designer papers!!! I had so much fun. :-)
This card measures 5 x 5 inches and uses the stamp set Twick or Tweet along with SU! retired set Haunting Halloween. The cardstock is Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Basic Black, P. Pie & sparkly Halloween designer paper (I think K & CO?) I also used the SU! large circle die, my small circle punches and Crystal Effects for the ghosties. Unfortunately, I put the Crystal Effects on too soon after colouring the ghosties and they ran a bit. Oh well, Halloween is really not about perfection, is it? So, we'll go with that!!!! :-) Melody also shared a bit of her black grosgrain stitched ribbon, which actually looks quite nice in real life, but in this picture looks a little large and out of place. Trust me, it really does look cute!!! :-) lol
Thanks so much for dropping by!

Twick or Tweet again!!

Hi there! I finally have had some time to stamp!!! Hurray!!! I've missed my studio so much. We had a wonderful visit with my Mother In Law, our oldest son was home from working out of town, our middle son was able to join us for dinner several times, and my dear daughter has had quite a bit of Ringette lately. Combine that with my daughter also being home sick for a few days, and well you know how it goes, stamping & crafting seem to come last. :-)
On to our card share today!!! This is another card sample using the Twick or Tweet stamp set from the Holiday Mini. I also used the Night & Day Specialty designer paper (again, Holiday Mini) along with Basic Black, Whisper White and Lovely Lilac. I absolutely love using black with just about any kind of purple, its just says Halloween, don't you think? :-) Orchid Opulence grosgrain along with Only Orange grosgrain (retired) were tied along the side of the card to add more interest and colour (one could easily substitute Pumpkin Pie, or even the striped grosgrain Pumpkin Pie, wouldn't that look great???)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Halloween Treat Box

Hi there! Now that its September I feel I can get right into the Autumn and Halloween cards and 3-D items!! The tutorial for this darling little box can be found at the Split Coast Stampers Website under "resources" at the top. Very quick and easy!
I've used the newest dsp from SU!'s Holiday Mini, Night & Day Specialty Paper. Oooh, how gorgeous is black and white together, a never ending favourite. I love this paper and will be ordering more to keep in my stash for "later". Hmmm, good thing my DH doesn't bother to read my blog. He'd soon begin to wonder just how much stuff I have hoarded for "later", wouldn't he? :-)
This little box was created using Black & White Cardstock, Night & Day Specialty paper, the image is stamped with the new stamp set Twick or Tweet (oh, how cute is this set??? I don't do many Halloween cards but I tell ya, I had to have this one!) and a large organdy ribbon tied below the image that was punched out with the SU! large oval and popped up on dimensionals. The edge of the lid was punched with the Scalloped Edge Punch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Happy Halloween!! (Early!)

Hey Everyone! Happy Early Halloween! I saw this card on Michelle Zindorf's blog, and absolutely had to try it. For those of you who know me realize that I'm not happy stamping unless my fingers get all inky and I can "dabble". Nothing is more satisfying than creating with colour!
This card uses Whisper White cardstock, So Saffron, Soft Sky and Not Quite Navy. I used the same inks as listed above, adding in Cool Caribbean as well. I stamped the witch with versamark and embossed with black, of course swiffering the surface with my emobossing buddy first. I stamped the trees at the bottom with Basic Black, and then again (after cleaning!) with Whisper White. The shades were all created using sponges and getting your fingers dirty! Was so much fun, thanks for checking in today. Now I'm off to create my swaps for the Regionals coming up this weekend! Wish me luck, I have to make lots!! :-)
