Friends meet the Big Shot!

Hi there! Today's card uses Razzleberry Cardstock combined with Basic Gray. Don't you love this colour combo? I had some Razzleberry and B. Gray laying on my desktop and noticed how rich they looked together and a colour combo was born (at least for me anyway, I'm sure others have used this too! :-) )
My friend who was hostessing a recent workshop asked if we could use a wheel on one of our cards and my first thought was the Friendly Words wheel. This wheel is my all time favourite, such gorgeous fonts!!
Our card was created with Razzleberry Cardstock wheeled with the Friendly Words wheel in Elegant Eggplant. Pretty, hey? :-) This tone on tone looks just fabulous, I was impressed with the depth. Basic Gray would also look good too.
After we wheeled the words straight across & covered the front of the card, we took the wheel and ran it across the corners as well, just to add texture and interest. We then used the direct to paper method and inked the edges with the ink pad. I was almost ready to stop at this point as the card looked so rich, almost pretty enough by itself. But, you know me, I can never leave anything alone ever.
So, we built more of a card from there!! The diamond shaped cardstock center white gets texture from the Texture Plates Background #1, the SU! Blossom Party die was used to create the flowers out of the R. Lemonade dsp and the flower was finished off with a Filgree Brad. The side photo corners were R. Lemonade dsp and Basic Gray. The sentiment was punched with the medium oval, layerd along with the large & scalloped oval, the stamp set used was Oval All.
Thank you for stopping by and remember......try to get some time in there for yourself today, you deserve it!! :-)
