Hi there! Today I have a birthday card to share. This particular card didn't end up as I had envisoned, as somehow I just seemed to get carried away with colour and the frills of scallops!! Needless to say, I think this card is fun and bright, especially with the sparkly red glitter on the cupcake. ;-) My inspiration for this card came from Page 43 of the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Yearbook, Vol. 14, Number 7. I absolutely love this publication!!
I used the Cupcake from the now retired Wagon Full of Fun (Occasions mini) and the wonderful DSP Pink Flamingo. The ribbon is from my stash and the "Enjoy" circle is from the retired Lovely Labels. I still have to go through my stamp sets and separate the In from the Out (retired sets from current sets! lol) but I think I'm my own best customer first and foremost and have a really hard time just hiding my stamp sets away because they aren't current. So forgive me for using retired sets here and there, I really enjoy stamping for the joy of stamping, its fun to create with whatever we happen to love.
Now, that's not to say that I don't have a huge Wish List for the current SU! catty, because heavens knows I do, its as long as my arm!! But, thankfully we now have a whole year to collect our favourites from the new catty, and I certainly look forward to larger minis as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! I'm off to another Baby Shower, I'll be sure to photo the card I'm taking and post it soon. It turned out really cute!

This car IS fun and bright! I am just dotty over it (it had to be said; I love polka dots!!!) Red is m favorite color. And can you have too many scallops? I doubt it ;)
Debbie- great card! Isn't it funny how we envision one thing and then it seems to take on a life of itself and turn into something else!? This is beautiful!
